The pollinator Habitat Project
Green space management in Rwanda must expand from its role of providing mere decoration, and be made as a mean for reviving the age-old concept of sharing space with other forms of life, in short as a mean for sharing with nature. Preserving the environment in urban and peri-urban areas could play a major role in protecting nature as a whole, while also responding to a growing expectation in society today. To start the ball rolling, Nature Rwanda wants to put in place a simple pollinator habitat in Musanze city to demonstrate best practices and raise awareness about critical and necessary change in the portrayal and uses of nature in the benefits of people and pollinators. The Pollinator Habitat project will be expanded countrywide to engage students and communities in establishing, maintaining and monitoring pollinator habitat.
