Our vision is to build communities where human beings coexist with nature without compromising the well-being of future generations.
Who We Are
Nature not only makes our life better, we are a part of it.
Love and respect are part of the natural world. We believe that access to nature is a basic human right. We strive for equity and justice in everything we do to ensure that natural resources are used sustainably. We take bold actions informed by sound science to protect and defend Nature for all. We collaborate across generations to build a healthier and sustainable future.
Our Beginnings Since 2016
As problems connected with biodiversity loss, conservation needs, and lack of motivation and ownership among local communities to the sustainable use of natural resources become more complex in Rwanda and in the region; Mr. Prudence NDABASANZE, Mr. Jean Claude DUSABIMANA, and Ms. Solange UWERA came together in 2016 and established Nature Rwanda to support Nature conservation and sustainable use of natural resources in Rwanda. Nature Rwanda is governed by an Executive Board chaired by Mr. Prudence NDABASANZE. Mr. Jean Claude DUSABIMANA, an experienced conservation planner and manager serves as the Executive Director. Nature Rwanda has its headquarters at the Nova Complex Market, NM 11 ST Musanze, Rwanda. Nature Rwanda is constituted as a non-governmental conservation organization, works closely with Government agencies, research and education institutions, sister civil society organizations, and community organizations in the implementation of its programmes.
Contributing to the conservation of biodiversity and ecosystems in a way that fosters a sustainable future and leads to social and economic transformation in communities where we work, while addressing issues that threaten the coexistence of humans and nature.
