As a part of the Environmental Education Program, Nature Rwanda worked with the Eco-Club at Rwahi TVET School in promoting gardening, agro-forestry, and fruit tree growth. This Eco-Club is one of the clubs which neighbors a threatened ‘Important Biodiversity Area’ supported by Nature Rwanda. The tree planting activity is organized with the aim of giving students an opportunity to get hands-on experience in addressing world environmental conservation issues at an early stage. It uses informal learning practices to equips participants with techniques to work as leaders in environmental issues from a young age.

The expected Outcomes

The expected outcomes of this event are:

  1. To improve the environmental learning of Rwahi TVET students.
  2. Creation of a fruit garden, serving as an informal educational tool of environmental conservation to other students and newcomers in the club.
